My church, Ekklesia Center, has a monthly Night of Praise, the first Friday of each month. This month’s prayer focus was adoption, Pregnancy Resource Centers, DCFS, and local foster care. I was asked to share the prayer I prayed for our region. This was and is my prayer.

Father,
We come to You in the name of Your beautiful Son, Jesus. We are so thankful for the blessing of our children. Thank You that they brighten our lives. Thank you that children inspire us to be better adults, parents, educators, protectors and humans. Thank you for their shiny new hearts and fresh open minds.

Tonight, we come to you desperately needy. The duty to raise Godly, moral, responsible children is enormous and overwhelming at times. We not only see that we must raise our own, but there are others Jesus, other lost children and broken parents who need to be raised up, healed, protected and safe.

We come to You in humility, understanding that we cannot accomplish this raising of the fallen. Yet we confess…ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD. So now we lift up to You each of the counties of North East GA including:

Franklin

Hart

Madison

Elbert

Clarke

Stephens
and all of NE GA.

We pray for the young women and men in NE GA who find themselves with child when they themselves are so young, scared, or just unprepared. We pray You provide comfort, resources, and revelation of the importance of their baby’s life, to these young adults. Thank You for the pregnancy resource centers available to help them. We lift up these centers to You. We place in Your hands the work of:

Athens Pregnancy Center

Franklin Life in Carnesville, GA

Madison County CPC

Elbert Life

Hart Life

The Hope Resource Center

Toccoa Life

And all the Pregnancy resource centers of NE GA.

God give them courage and boldness to proclaim the truth and provide comfort. Give them gentle and tender hearts to provide comfort and wise reassurance. Provide for their physical needs so they in return can provide for the needs of those who come to them.

Within NE GA we lift up each of the Departments of Family and Children Services. We lift up the employees and counselors who must step into painfully difficult situations. Give them courage and discernment, give them grace and strength, give them whatever they need to successfully and righteously protect and place children where they can be in safety. I pray for the children being taken out of abusive homes. Oh God, how confused they must be, how broken…abuse suffered as a child forever changes a human created in Your Image. So again we confess, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD. Make it possible for these little ones to be healed and live in safety. We pray for their parents. We pray that they will find their way to You and all will be made right. We pray they will repent and come to understand Who Jesus is. We understand that not all these parents will choose You or their children. So we ask that You will provide places and people of safety for these children. Thank you for the ones who have risen up to take in children who need homes. Thank You for Foster Parents and Adoption agencies. We ask that You continually provide for the Foster Parents and send many people to love them and their children. We ask that You provide all that they need, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We ask that you guide couples and individuals to the children You desire them to adopt. Make a way for these children to be in loving homes. Guide the adoption agencies and DCFS as they place children and adults together to create God ordained families.

And now we pray for those children and adults stuck in the secret place, in that place where no one knows what they endure and how they suffer. In that place where it is very hard to prove that they even need to be rescued. In that place where everything looks normal from the outside, yet they daily ruminate in a place of intimidation, cruel words, and evil deeds. We ask that You deliver these into safety, into healing, and into Your arms. We ask that all that is hidden in the darkness will be revealed in the righteous mercy and the righteous judgment of Your light.

We ask that churches, individuals and families will rise up in NE GA to assist these broken lives, our government, our schools, our programs and agencies. We ask that new homes will open up and become a true refuge. We ask that homes that only pretend to be a refuge will be revealed and Your merciful justice will be rendered.
We ask that You give us a specific revelation, the needed education….We ask that you provide homes, resources, and faithful workers to provide for these little ones and their parents.

Help us to accept that You have already given us the courage and strength to do what You have asked of us. Continue to place big dreams in our hearts and bring to fruition all the dreams You have placed in us.

Bless these Your little ones of NE GA and their parents. Restore the family unit; Redeem the lost, for we come to You desperately needy.

Smile at each other. Smile at your wife, smile at your husband, smile at your children, smile at each other- it doesn’t matter who it is- and that will help to grow up in greater love for each other.

Please pray for the homeless. It’s so very cold outside.
